UBC

Yesterday was a pro-D day, so W and I decided to go UBC. Our campus tour was at 10:00 am, we got there just before. They weren’t lying. It’s HUGEEEEE!
I love it. I want to go there. Yayayayayayayayaa. A lot of the faculty buildings are supposed to be shaped like something… which is kinda funny. My fav. is the library that looks like a book facing down. Sweet…

There’s a rosegarden – 30 types of roses!, japanese garden, 12 libraries, many many faculties, 3 sides surrounded by water and 1 by forest. Amazing.  Love it.

Hectic.

• Thurs @ 12am-3am.. ish. Lucky got stolen. Fuck you guys. Fuck the police. Fuck that old lady who is behind all this. Fuck EVERYONE. He was barking like crazy at around midnight. My mom shrugged it off because he barks a lot.. A LOT. At 3am my dad got home and he didn’t hear lucky barking at his truck, as usual. He checks it out and finds that the front gate of his place is open. My dad thought that he escaped somehow then drove around for about an hour calling his name and looking for him… it woke everyone up in the morning. I couldn’t believe that it was happening… AGAIN. For the 3rd time and 4th dog.I know that sounds outrageous. Who loses 4 dogs and gets jacked up 3 times? I did. My neighbour did when I lost my first two dogs. Their friend lost a dog — they live around here. The police are synonymous with useless. Last time my neighbour called when they were CLEARLY trespassing on my property, trying to steal Lucky (their first attempt) – “Sorry we got a couple calls about people losing their dogs today. We can’t do anything about it.” which is translated as: “We don’t give a shit. Let us drive around and give out speeding tickets. We are only capable of doing so because we’re lazy shits.” Fucking assholes.

  I miss you..

  Okay it’s my fourth dog that’s been stolen by the same people. WHat hte hell is their problem? I miss you Lucky. They cut through my gate… and through Lucky’s gate to get him. Not to mention that pile of dog treats or sausages or some shit I found around his house. Fucking low lives. They are going to take every dog I’m going to get. But maybe if it’s an inside dog, no. Yeah I’m not too pleased about this.

• Friday marks update:
  French – 99.6% (yay top of the class and tied with WEN!)
  English – 87.5% (still. but top of the class!)

  Had work… Got tips today cause I wasn’t training! Split it with L and got 22$ in tips. I love working in a restaurant. I did however, break a beer bottle (woops), and spill a couple of cups onto the chairs(heh).

• Saturday – French classes. Went to oak to get a A. poster because I left mine at Allison’s. Got iced tea from Blenz. That has to be the grossest shit ever. Bad first experience from Blenz… It was like tea with ice in it. I can’t stand tea.M conviced me to volunteer so I went. It wasn’t until later when I realized that I could stay for a mere 2 hours. 1 hr orientation and 1 hr volunteer = 1 hour reference on a letter. Too much for too little, so I left. Went home, got changed, ate, then off to work I went. Today the other busser didn’t show up so I got all the tips. I got MORE than yesterday because I didn’t go on a break since the place was too damn busy. 32.75$ in tips. Not bad for the first 2 days! I love tips.. except it’s mostly in change. Loonies and toonies so it would be weird to buy even a $35 shirt with loonies and toonies. Pretty lame but what can I do.Grandpa’s right hand was swelling up so we went to the clinic. The clinic was closed because the doctor saw the max number of patients he would get paid for – 50. So ong and ba are sleeping over so mom can drive him to the clinic the next day.
• Sunday – I thought today would be a quiet day for me to do homework because tomorrow I’m off to UBC, but no. Mommy threw a dinner party?! So there was no peace and quiet. Emily came over with her grandma aswell. B. Son bought over her dog because we are in need of one.. She actually left cu con here today to see if he’d stay. He’s really a smart dog. 6 years old = 42 years in dog years. I hope it works out.. he’s a mini pinscher. His name is cu con and he’s adorable. But still not 100% used to us yet.
  
  Minpin! Don’t think I’m cold hearted.. I do miss lucky, but hey you have to move on… You can’t be sad for the rest of your life.

Marks Update:

English: 84.1% –> 87.5%
Yes! I’m getting the highest mark in my class. Mrs. H said she’s glad I’m in her class. *puts on halo*. I’m the only one getting an A too… others are about 3% behind. Wow.

French: 20/20 on my french paragraph! YESSSSSSSS. Beat that M.

I’m happy with English, planning and French. But SOCIALS on the other hand…. oh crap I’m not looking forward to knowing.

The way I see it #1 – left handed people write more slanted and usually not as nice as righties.

When dad was returning from work this morning, around 3am, he was speeding. He tried to brake in time but he swiveled on the highway and hit the side. Luckily he didn’t get hurt. But the front of our car is now.. really unscratched. The license plate fell off.

$135 = driving with an expired license

$150 = tow truck

He didn’t even know his license expired. LAST MONTH! Haha.. so dad had to go and get his picture retaken for his liscense today. Mom obviously went apeshit. Geez.

Okay moving on to school stuff~

Socials test today. It was.. hard and boring. I’m not expecting a good mark. French test back, 61/60 bitches! M thinks everything is a damn competition. It isn’t. If it was then I’d still kick your ass.

What to get T for her birthday….

I talked to my counsellor today. Again, asking about getting back into Math. I can see that now I can’t transfer into math because we’re so far in the semester. Shit. I’m still unhappy about it… unhappy about having to do SS 11.

I’m doing another placement test next Monday. Yaaaaaaaaaaaay.

French: Had a test today. I want to see my marks…

Socials: Called down to take yearbook pictures. Did I not mention it was picture day today? Test tomorrow. Gotta study.

Planning: Introduced our new career project. There are so many different sections. Sections: research, interview (WTF?) with a person who has retired from the occupation desired or still in it, visiting an institution… that’s all the big things. Hmm I guess I’m going to visit UBC. Robson campus or the other one? I have no idea how to get there, but I know for a fact that I don’t want my parents to drive, though they’ll probably insist.

English: I love this class. It goes by so fast~ Probably because we read for almost half the block. I’m so into my book too! Augusten Burrough’s Possible side effects. Burrough’s life is so interesting. His life has been far more interesting than anyone’s life that I know of. Probably more interesting than the remainder of my life too.

M might come this summer… I want to see him! I haven’t for what? 4 years? 5? But I’m planning to take SS… maybe I will in the morning. Shit I don’t know.

I haven’t been updating lately.

Okaaaaay I’ll try to sum it up as fast as possible:

• weds: I opened a savings account., along with a chequing account. I HAVE DEBIT NOW!! I feel so adult! Downside: it takes 7 business days for my money to transfer through.. BS!!
• Friday: work. I like work! I love the manager.. he has a sense of humor. But his face is almost 100% serious so I can’t tell. He tricked me many times. I got my pay check from that one day I worked. $40 LOL. I found my pay rate- huit.quatre-vingt-neuf $$! I was training today, but next week I’m not so I get tips. YAYYYYYYY!
• Sat: french classes. I asked Mme. M about moving up a level because.. in all honesty the class is an insult to my french level. I’m not saying im pro or anything… but the kids in my class know nothing. How much will I learn in a class full of people WAY below me? I’d rather be in a more challenging class and NOT be the one that knows the most (-.-) than be one of the top in my class and learn absolutely-fucking-nothing! I guess M seemed offended by my request. She looked teary and everything-FFS! I don’t want to waste 300 on a class and learn nothing! NO! Because I asked M that, a couple of others(ha), including E asked too. One dude.. grade 8 this year or something, asked the SAME THING AS ME. Uhm… no you don’t ask to skip a level to FINISH the program. You’re here to learn as much as you can. You go at your own damn pace. Asshole. E & I asked about moving up and the receptionist said that we should take a placement test (now free because we’re registered. BAHAHA!). I guess I’ll take it next Mon. Pro-D after all.
• after french, my sister and I ate at oakridge.. and got a free poster at aritzia! cool.
• cousins picked us up and then we stayed at their house until the next day. watched: maid of honor, some bratz movie, a little bit of my little pony, last half of 88 minutes. PATRICK DEMPSEY <3. haha first when Dominic saw me.. I made a face and he cried. After he kept climbing on top of my sis and me ~ gosh those kids tire me out so fast.
• I solved the most of a rubiks cube I have ever solved (omg bad grammar here..)! one face, the T shape of each side touching the yellow side.. it was awesome. I need to buy one… and SOLVE IT!!
• slept over there. My parents were in van and my dad got drunk from wine… so they came home late.

MY FIRST DAY! :)

Yesterday was my first day of work! it was chill. I never knew it got so BUSY during dinner time, especially on the weekend. I was busy the whole time but I liked it. !

SOOoOOO before that was also my first day of french for this (semester?!) Marielle is niceeeeeeeeeeeeee, but she doesn’t give homework which is a downer for me (N). JE PAYE(?) POUR CES CLASSES, JE DOIS RECEVOIR LES DEVOIRS!! .. geez.. i miss Prof F. THere’s this gr. 6 who’s sooo good at french. D: im jealous.

Yesterday was 9/11.. 7 year anniversary apparently

uhm let’s see.. I went to orientation today~! It took forEVER! I was trying to keep eye contact the whole time but I couldn’t help that my eyes would squint.. then go big again. I got my uniform @_@ but the manager gave me the guys one by accident LOL. The people there seem nice… oh shit I better be allowed to wear my shoes. I DO NOT want to have to buy another pair.

I got bored after orientation so I said, why not? I’ll just volunteer for the book sale, like I did yesterday, although I wasn’t registered for today. They didn’t know.

Demain je dois aller a la class de francais a` vancouver. Apres, je vais avec ma soeur (et peut-etre mes parents) a metrotown pour manger avant ma soeur doit aller a la rendez-vous dentiste. Avant 5 je dois aller a surrey pour aller a lieu de travail

current mood: unhappy.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO I got pulled out of math. Why? because there are gr.12s on the waiting list for math 12 and they are “higher on the priority list” than I am. This is what I get for laughing at my prov mark and not trying as hard in summer school.. nOOoo my life is ruineddDDdD.

Instead, my block D is changed to English and I’ll have socials 11 next semester… two socials a year.. eeek! So that means I’ll have my eng prov this semester, next semester I’ll have science and ss 11 o_O.
Thus, I have to wait until next year to do math. Why did I have to take it during the summer.. this ruins everything! agh! Okay whatevs I’ll try to get over that. I have to catch up on 1 weeek of eng. homework and throw away my week’s work of math homework— I did all my homework everyday .

Ms. counsellor said that I can probably do math 12 first semester.. and calculus second next year… which I’m not terribly crazy about. Hm it may be a better idea to do it the NEXT YEAR. I want cook training next year. Shit I shouldn’t've took info tech.. it’s such a waste of time. Why does cook training have to be full?! *dies

O wait that means next year I’ll have only one provincial.. sweet…
