Can’t believe it

I wrote my math prov today. We had a limit of 180 mins and I took 170, though it only took me ~ 20 mins/prov during the practices. I finished pretty quick but it was obligatory.

After finishing the exam I went to centre court, where I found 4 people who finished writing it before me. They were discussing questions that they were stuck/unsure of. One guy was pretty confident. All his “maybes” were correct, as deemed by this other kid.

I got the logging question wrong. I can’t believe I didn’t think of doing it that way.

Q: There are 20 larch logs and 16 pine ones. 18 are chosen, what are the chances of having 10 or 11 larch logs?

My answer: binompdf(18,20/36,10) + binompdf(18,20/36,11) but none of the choices were right. I could NOT think of another way… but nick told me after it was:

(20 C 10)(16 C + (20 C 11)(16 C 7) / (36 C 18)

At which point I wanted to kick myself in the ass for not thinking of it………..

Next I got the asymptote of  y = 3cotx . I read my cue cards a billion times but each time I failed to look at the cotx graph properly. I *guessed* it was the same as the tanx graph but reflected over the y axis. So it was pi. I was outraged at my own stupidity.

That’s 2 wrong for sure *crosses fingers* here’s to hoping that those two are it.

I wasn’t too pleased with myself so I watched 4 episodes of HIMYM when I got home……… and ate…….. a lot……. *sigh* it’s too depressing to even think about. One more episode until I’m done season 1! Yay!

Sc prov on tues, awards ceremony on tues(which dad will get off work for! wooooooot!)…. work sat & sun. Apparently I only work fri next week. No sat *falls off chair* I haven’t “not” worked sat in…….. too long to even count.

I wonder how I did on my french + math exams (not prov)?
