ONE YEAR!!!!!! 223rd post

Ah yes it’s been a great year.

Before this account I didn’t blog that often. I had a xanga account… and an account on just about every site except wordpress. Oh I was a total mallvibes addict 3x as much as I am now. Anything to avoid doing WORK because…. math was hard for me and things went too fast. I came upon a “do you have a blog” thread(I BELIEVE) and I think ko0ty recommended wordpress.

Of course I had to make an account. It did kill a lot of time and I barely did any work. That was my goal.

In this one year I have: gotten a C+ in math, went to tofino, gotten a job and 98% in 3 courses(INCLUDING MATH LOL).

Thanks katy :) because of you I blog almost religiously. (Didn’t like xanga too much…)

Victoria Day Weekend

My weekends are never this full. I usually do nothing except work, so this is a pleasant change.

  • Friday - AF. Mom’s friends from TO came and mom picked them up from YVR. THey got home pretty late and we had hot pot… moms infamous lau ga. I haven’t met either of them before besides a couple pictures here and there, but they look waaaaaaaay older than their age. 4 and 6 or 7 years younger than mom, respectively. The younger one is “slow” and has some not serious condition and as a result of that she eats excessively and does not know when to stop. She also has a reaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllly old old chinese boyfriend she’s been dating for many many years. Like RAELLLLLY old, as in almost twice her age? She’s like thirty something I believe. While talking about one thing, she would interrupt and just talk about random shit that had no relation to the previous topic. One of the things she said was:“Sometimes I think my blood isn’t vietnamese. I believe it’s half japanese or half korean” -Because she likes korean and japanese food. They left early next day.
  • Saturday - Work 5 hours! Waited at the mall for my grandparents…. I was supposed to buy my grandma shoes as a present but they flaked! They didn’t show up. I waited an hour and then went home. It turns out me and my grandma had a misunderstanding. She told me she would meet me at the play place at 330, when I finished work, but she came on monday(3 days lateR) and told me that she didn’t need shoes cause she already had shoes. What! Work was interesting because the regular morning crew wasn’t there. It was mostly people from the night crew. hm! Janet & vicky volunteered at the Vancouver Children’s Fesitval today. From what I heard, Vicky LOVED it! Learning English right now, she thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the public, and above all, the kids. Nancy went with them because they didn’t know the way. What nubs. Janet said thu speaks very very well now. I’m glad for her!
  • Sunday – My turn to volunteer at the same festival. My sister went as well. The shift was 7 hours, but it felt like 10. Time just crawled by with a broken leg. My favourite part of volunteering at this fest is that I hear french-speaking families and it amazes me. Last year I understood nothing and this year I understood exactly what this man was saying to his daughter. HA I have decided that a requirement for my future S.O. is that they have to speak french (almost, if not) fluent. My sister thinks I’m crazy/picky/etc. Last year I got a ride, but this year we bussed. As soon as we got out, and we got out EARLY mind you, the line up for the bus was thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssssssssssssssss long. 15 mins later the bus came but it was soo crowded it didn’t stop. Another excruciating 10 mins later another one came, but again it just went by. The thing I hate most in my life is fucking waiting, as I’m impatient as hell. Nothing good comes out of it. My estimate is 40 mins for the bus, standing in a tight, airless space, barely being able to move and just squish to each side so people can leave. Sounds fun, doesn’t it? Well it was just one road to the skytrain station, down burrard, so sister and I decided to walk. When I got home I looked on google maps it was 3.6 km. Not as bad as it sounded and we even BEAT the bus there. Food at the fest = bloody expensive. We walked to robson, and I finally bought my sis a bday presents 6 months late. Jeans shorts from ae :/ went home. The hats at below the belt are damn expensive! Probably 10-30$ more than the ones at plush. I need to buy a haaaaaat. I tried on a red smet on at btb on mon and it looked NIACE but it’s $90. $20 more than I’m willing to spend.
  • Monday – Aly, Annie, V., S, Sister, AL went to see Angels and Demons. Not bad, but I do have one disagreement. I didn’t like how RObert was in the swimming pool. He should’ve been in BED like the book! Other than that it was not a bad movie. The scene were the 3rd cardinal was being killed was exactly how I pictured it as I read it.Vanna’s hilarious. During one part she whispered to me:
“If you are Buddhist and you go to Rome, will they kill you?”

I have never spoken authentic, real french to a real french person(outside of a classroom setting of course) so I suck. Well……..years ago I did try asking my cousin “how are you” in french but it came out as garbage and she understood nothing. That doesn’t count though.

HAHAH I thought Pierfrancesco Favino was cute and vanna thought Thure Lindhardt was:

I swear everyone looks better in a movie. We were both sad when they got killed.

SUN RUN 2009

I finished just under 1 hr 30 mins. I had 2 bathroom breaks and stopped for water a couple times but REGARDLESS I consider it “running/jogging the whole time”. I am extremely satisfied ^-^ I was so surprised vicky ran with me the whole time. I could only keep a pace because I’ve been running in school for approx. 5 years consectutively and she hasn’t done training at all. @ BC place there was a lot of free: bagels, yogurt, juice boxes, bananas, oranges, energy bars. MmMMM bagels. I LIKE.

I sprinted the last km because it felt just SO CLOSE. I couldn’t just “pace myself”, I had to get myself there as fast as possible. The time on the clock said 2:46. that’s including wheelchairer’s 15 min head start and my 1 hr wait before starting. They’re supposed to take pictures of you but SHIT me and vicky had our sweaters around our wasits’, which covered our #s. noOoooOO I might not get a picutre.

The winner was a kenyan guy I believe. He’s FREAKEN crazy. 30 mins for 10 km……. for me = x3 HAHAHAHAH

I was on the bus going back when I started to stare at TL’s legs. I saw that the first half of his legs were hairy and the bottom was blotchy with patches of hair here and there. WDFz

“do you.. shave your legs T?”
“AHH NO NONO DONT SAY IT NO ID ONT NO ID OTN DONT TELL ANYONE SHHH”
“oh okay…”

I think I might do it next year. Or volunteer……………. yupyup.

US Election Day 08!!

GO OBAMA!!

According to CNN.com, Obama is at 53% and McCain is at… shit it’s reloading right now. But, not the point. Obama is beating McCain at this point. 47%. Why do they have to count so slow? I’m SO curious.. I want to know so bad! I can’t wait until tomorrow, but I don’t want to stay up all night. Actually I want to but I doubt mom will let me. AHHHAWIUAHIDSNFHSKJDFNKDSJFN. I’m going to watch CNN after I finish my essay. mMMMmm the US election is way more interesting than the Canadian one.
..What are electoral votes??

I think McCain is too old to be president
/end agism

I think having a black president will only make the US better.

I THINK that they’re doing this election thing, counting the votes/closing the polls from east to west. I think it has something to do with time zones? Probably. No wonda! Obama is 54% now.

Anyways….GO OBAMA!
I’ll post again tomorrow when I find out who wins. I kind of don’t want to know at the same time. :( Love/Hate relationship kinda.
French: 100.1%
English: 87.8% (I think)
Socials: – AHHHHHH :(
Planning: – don’t really care… haha

Fusion Festival

Yesterday was the fusion festival. I volunteered from 10-5. I was an event greeter and that was boring and repetitive, not to mention my hideous tshirt tan. The back of my neck is so dark. D: Mom, janet, bryan and co hong dropped by.. yeah it was boring. I don’t have much to say about it. I met some nice people.

I’ve never talked to so many drug(?) addicts in my life. It figures. The festival took place beside Surrey cntrl. in WHALLEY..

924875938574835 programs(literally- I went through boxes and boxes, each with 200 each) later my shift finally ended! I walked around a bit.. said bye.. and then went home.

Perks: my name tag. It made me feel so official and full of authority! Why were the tshirts american apparel? The city of surrey has nothing better to do with their money. That’s for sure. I hope I win that blackberry. I entered a couple of draws. *crosses fingers*

*the next day*

We went to Ikea. Janet bought another bed. That spoiled brat. Oh and a mattress too.

GKN is coming to Vancouver!

Mon, June 21st. And so.. I found out that George is coming to Vancouver. YAY! Bad news.. it’s on a Monday, and at a club. But it’s all ages… eh.. as I was looking at the poster, I also found out that on the same day, 1 hour after his all-ages performance, he’s going to be performing at another club; this time 19+. The tickets are $30… but it’s only for an hour. Is it worth it? or should I save my money until he tours here.. in, let’s say… 2009? Monday is a bad day. I have school.
